Game Type: Single Player Rhythm Game.

Player Goal: Get to exit in a limited time.

Content: 5 Levels, about 20 Mins gameplay.

Xmas Rush!! is a rhythmic game with easy mechanics and a comedic plot. Players take on the role of a struggling intern navigating Christmas Eve crowds to reach the office.

As the story unfolds, unsettling events emerge on the street, yet players must still make it to the office on time despite the chaos…

Game Loop

The game is based on Beat. With each beat, players remain time will be reduced. So players have to get through the crowds quickly!

Game Feature

1. Move In Beat

Follow the beat, weave through pedestrians, explore the map, and gather pickups on the journey to reach the final destination.

2. Humorous Story

Players will experience a complete tall tale which combines both narrative and tutorials.

3. Dangerous City

The streets are full of zombies and vehicles, be careful!

Dev History

2021 Fall: First Demo

Xmas Rush!! began as a solo class project with the theme 'Mundane'. I created a demo in 3 weeks with my concept of ‘Walking on a Crowded street’.

2023 Summer: Remake

I recruited a talented group of designers and decided to make the game complete. We start in the summer and finish the project in the fall.

Level & Mood

LV1 - The player is faced with a roomful of drunks trying to leave a Christmas party.

LV2 - The road is blocked by the bad boys & girls.

LV3 - The noisy metropolis has been overrun by zombies.

LV4 - Burning street, at the end of the street is the company where the player works.

LV5 - Upon taking the elevator to the company, the player is greeted by company employees.
